Reporting and scope
The PGT Economics Teacher will report directly to the Head of Economics Department, collaborating with faculty across the school.

Core duties
Teaching Economics to Class 11 and 12 students, ensuring alignment with CBSE/ICSE syllabus and exam-oriented learning.
Designing engaging lesson plans that incorporate case studies, economic policies, and global economic trends to enhance student interest.
Assisting in preparing students for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, and state-level entrance tests through targeted revision strategies.
Participating in departmental meetings to discuss curriculum updates, teaching methodologies, and student performance trends.
Supporting extracurricular activities such as debate clubs, mock business simulations, and economic awareness campaigns.
Maintaining accurate records of student progress, attendance, and academic achievements while adhering to school policies.
Collaborating with other subject teachers to create interdisciplinary projects that deepen students’ understanding of economics in real-world contexts.

Qualification and experience
A postgraduate degree in Economics with a specialization in macroeconomics, microeconomics, or related fields is essential.
A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is mandatory for teaching roles at Discovery International School.
Possession of TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory for this position.
At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting, is required to ensure effective classroom management and curriculum delivery.

Compensation and location
The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs.35,000 to Rs.60,000 per month, along with additional benefits as per school policies. The role is based in Kotputli Behror, Rajasthan, offering a convenient location for teaching duties and administrative responsibilities.
