The PGT Zoology Teacher will design engaging lesson plans covering animal biology, ecology, and evolutionary science, aligning with CBSE syllabus standards. Responsibilities include conducting practicals on dissection, microscopy, and lab-based research projects. You’ll also mentor students in extracurricular activities like science fairs and inter-school competitions, ensuring they apply theoretical knowledge practically. Regular assessments and feedback sessions will ensure academic growth, while maintaining discipline and cultural sensitivity in a diverse student body. Collaboration with science teachers and administrative staff will enhance curriculum integration. Field trips to local wildlife reserves or botanical gardens may also be part of the role. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory, with a postgraduate degree in Zoology as the primary qualification. Four years of teaching experience in Zoology or related subjects is essential, preferably in a school environment. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this position. Strong communication skills, adaptability to Rajasthan’s educational landscape, and a commitment to shaping future scientists are highly valued.
