To excel in this role, you will develop and deliver engaging geography lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum. You will prepare students for competitive exams like NEET and JEE by focusing on key topics such as physical geography, human geography, and environmental studies. Your lessons should incorporate interactive methods like field trips to places like Lake Pichola or the Amber Fort, fostering a deeper appreciation for geography among students.
You will assess student progress through continuous evaluation, ensuring they grasp complex concepts like climate zones, natural resources, and sustainable development. Collaborate with the geography department to plan interdisciplinary projects that integrate geography with other subjects like social studies and environmental science. Organize workshops and guest lectures featuring local experts to enhance students’ understanding of regional geography and its practical applications.
Teach both theory and practical sessions, including map reading, weather analysis, and geographic research. Maintain a well-organized classroom environment, ensuring students have access to updated maps, atlases, and digital resources. Participate in school events and extracurricular activities, such as science fairs or model-making competitions, to reinforce geography learning in a fun and engaging way.
You will prepare and mark homework assignments, quizzes, and projects to assess students’ comprehension of geographical concepts. Stay updated with the latest educational trends and teaching methodologies in geography to improve lesson delivery. Work closely with the principal and senior faculty to ensure alignment with Witty International School’s academic goals and values.
Ensure all teaching materials, including worksheets, PowerPoint presentations, and lab manuals, are accurate and up-to-date. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and explore geography beyond textbooks. Assist in organizing field studies and excursions to places like the Ranthambore National Park or the Thar Desert to provide real-world exposure to geographical concepts.
The ideal candidate will hold a postgraduate degree in Geography with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. A minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in schools with a focus on STEM or humanities, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be highly beneficial. The successful candidate will be offered a full-time position in Udaipur, with a competitive salary of Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month, along with other benefits as per school policy.
