Majusri Public School in Temi, Gangtok is hiring a full‑time PGT English Teacher. The role involves delivering the senior secondary English curriculum to classes XI and XII and contributing to the overall academic environment of the school.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the NCERT syllabus, incorporating interactive methods and technology where appropriate.
Assess student performance through regular tests, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
Prepare teaching aids, worksheets, and supplementary reading material to enrich classroom learning.
Mentor students for board examinations, guiding them in essay writing, comprehension, and literature analysis.
Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and parent‑teacher interactions to discuss student progress.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and lesson plans as per school policies.
Qualifications and Experience
Post‑graduate degree in English or related discipline.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is essential; TET/CTET preferred.
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the senior secondary level.
Compensation and Location
Salary: Rs.28,000 – Rs.50,000 per month.
Location: Gangtok, Sikkim.
