Your Students
As a PGT Political Science Teacher at Delhi Public School, Gangtok, you will be working with students from grades 9 to 12. You will be expected to teach a range of topics in Political Science, including Indian politics, international relations, and governance. Our students come from various socio-economic backgrounds, and you will need to be sensitive to their diverse needs and learning styles.
Day-to-Day Duties
As a PGT Political Science Teacher, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Developing and implementing lesson plans to meet the needs of all learners
- Delivering engaging lectures and discussions on Political Science topics
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
- Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional materials
- Participating in staff meetings and professional development activities
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Communicating with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Adapting instruction to meet the needs of students with varying abilities
Who Can Apply
To be considered for this role, you will need to have a postgraduate degree in Political Science or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience is required, preferably in a school setting. You should be familiar with the curriculum and instructional strategies for teaching Political Science to high school students.
