Role Summary
The PRT Science Teacher will design and teach Science lessons for primary classes, aligning with the school’s activity-based curriculum. How You Will Teach
Lessons will be planned with Google Classroom for assignments and LMS for interactive modules. Smart boards will display 3D molecule models, solar system animations, and live quizzes. Blended learning will combine short teacher demos, small-group investigations, and student-led presentations every week.
What You Will Do
Plan weekly Science units with digital lesson plans stored in the LMS and share with parents via the parent app.
Operate smart boards to run animated experiments and student response polls during lessons.
Assign and collect digital worksheets through Google Classroom with automatic grading where possible.
Organize virtual science fairs using video submissions and online voting for projects.
Maintain a shared drive folder of experiment videos for absent students and revision.
Conduct weekly quizzes on Google Forms and analyze results to adjust future lessons.
Collaborate with the IT team to upload new Science simulations to the LMS each term.
Communicate student progress to parents through the school app and email updates.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in Science or Education with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution.
Minimum three years of experience teaching Science to primary students in a formal school.
Familiarity with Google Workspace and basic troubleshooting of classroom devices.
Preferred Skills
Strong digital literacy with experience using smart boards and educational apps.
Confidence in creating short explainer videos and uploading them to the LMS.
Willingness to attend quarterly training sessions on new digital teaching tools.
Experience with blended learning models in primary Science classrooms.
