About This Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Chemistry Teacher to join Delhi Public School in Gangtok, Sikkim. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Chemistry to students from Class 9 to 12. Day-to-Day Duties
1. Prepare and deliver Chemistry lessons to students from Class 9 to 12
2. Conduct experiments and demonstrations to enhance student learning
3. Assess student progress and provide feedback
4. Develop and implement lesson plans in line with the school's curriculum
5. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
6. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
7. Participate in staff meetings and professional development programs
8. Mark and grade student assignments and exams
9. Provide additional support to students who require extra help
Eligibility Criteria
Must Have:
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. from a recognized institution
- TET or CTET certification (not mandatory)
- 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting
- Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good to Have:
- Experience in teaching Chemistry to students from Class 9 to 12
- Familiarity with the CBSE curriculum
- Ability to use technology in teaching and learning
- Experience in mentoring or coaching students
Preferred Skills
- Strong subject matter expertise in Chemistry
