Job Description
PRT Position for EVS Teacher at Nehru International School, Madukkari
Teach Environmental Studies (EVS) to students in Class 1 to 5, ensuring engaging and hands-on learning through experiments, field trips, and interactive projects. Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that align with school curriculum guidelines while fostering environmental awareness and sustainability practices.
Plan and conduct practical EVS activities such as gardening, waste segregation demonstrations, and nature-based studies. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate EVS concepts into cross-curricular lessons, ensuring a holistic approach to education.
Assist in organizing school events like Earth Day celebrations, tree-planting drives, and eco-club activities to promote environmental stewardship among students. Maintain accurate records of student progress in EVS-related assessments and participate in departmental meetings to discuss teaching strategies and curriculum improvements.
Hold a graduate degree with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Minimum two years of teaching experience in EVS or related subjects is required. Familiarity with TET/CTET guidelines is preferred but not mandatory. The salary for this position is Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 25,000 per month.
