Maintain cumulative records with detailed Tamil language progress notes for each student.
Organize inter-house Tamil elocution, essay writing, and story-telling competitions every term.
Collaborate with the language lab coordinator to upload audio lessons on basic Tamil phonetics.
Conduct remedial sessions for students struggling with Tamil script and vocabulary.
Coordinate with the cultural team to include Tamil folk songs and dance in school events.
Attend weekly subject teacher meetings to align Tamil curriculum with school-wide language goals.
Who Can Apply
Candidates with a postgraduate degree in Tamil from a recognized university are eligible. B.Ed or D.El.Ed in Tamil is mandatory. Prior experience of at least four years in teaching Tamil at the secondary level is required.
Preferred Skills
Fluency in spoken and written Tamil including classical vocabulary and modern usage.
Ability to teach Thirukkural and other ancient Tamil texts with contextual explanations.
