Geography (PGT) Vacancy in Arakot, Ranipet, Tamilnadu
Bharathidhasanar School - Thimri
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Post Graduate Teacher in Geography to join our school team in a rural community. As a PGT Geography educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the perspectives of senior secondary students. This role requires a professional with a Post Graduate degree and at least 2 years of teaching experience. No TET qualification is required for this position. Your primary goal will be to help students understand the world beyond their immediate surroundings while grounding their learning in the reality of their own environment.
Why Join Us
Joining our school means more than just taking a job; it means becoming a catalyst for change in a rural setting. Many of our students possess immense potential but have limited access to global perspectives. By teaching here, you have the unique opportunity to broaden their horizons and inspire them to dream big. You will be a mentor, a guide, and a window to the world, making a direct and visible impact on the lives of hardworking young people who truly value education.
Your Responsibilities
Your main focus will be our senior secondary students. These students typically come from modest backgrounds and are known for their resilience and eagerness to learn. You will be responsible for delivering the Geography curriculum while catering to their specific needs. This includes mentoring them for board exams, helping them understand complex spatial concepts, and providing career guidance. You will act as a bridge between their rural roots and the globalized world, ensuring every student feels seen and supported in their academic journey.
Instruction Approach
We believe Geography should not be confined to textbooks. Your instruction approach should be centered on student engagement and curiosity. We encourage you to use storytelling, local case studies, and practical mapping exercises to make lessons relatable. Whether it is discussing local soil types or global climate patterns, your goal is to make the subject interactive and vibrant. By connecting geographical theories to the students own lives and livelihoods, you will help them develop critical thinking skills and a deep appreciation for the environment.
Work Environment
Our school is located in a peaceful rural area, offering a close-knit and supportive community atmosphere. Unlike the rush of urban schools, we provide an environment where you can build genuine relationships with students and their families. The staff room is a place of collaboration where teachers support one another. We value a culture of mutual respect and dedication to the common goal of rural empowerment through education.
Compensation Details
We offer a competitive salary package that is commensurate with your experience and the standards for PGT roles in this region. Along with the monthly salary, we provide a stable work environment and the fulfillment that comes with a meaningful career. Specific details regarding salary components and benefits will be shared during the interview process, taking into account your Post Graduate qualification and your 2 years of professional experience.
Career Growth
We are committed to the professional development of our educators. Working in a rural school provides a unique set of challenges that build strong leadership and problem-solving skills. We offer opportunities for you to take on additional administrative responsibilities, lead student clubs, or coordinate academic initiatives. As you help our students grow, we will support your growth as a leader in the field of education, providing a pathway for long-term career advancement within our institution.
