Key Responsibilities
Instruct students from Standard 1 to 5 in the Tamil language according to the prescribed syllabus.
Prepare detailed lesson plans and maintain a teacher's diary for daily academic tracking.
Conduct regular formative and summative assessments, including class tests and term examinations.
Evaluate answer scripts and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
Organize and lead Tamil literary associations and oratorical contests.
Prepare students for school assemblies and Tamil cultural activities during festivals.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress.
Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings to discuss child development and linguistic growth.
Success Metrics
Success in this role will be measured by the visible improvement in the students' reading, writing, and speaking proficiency in Tamil. High pass percentages and average marks in school examinations will serve as primary indicators. The level of student participation and success in intra-school and inter-school Tamil competitions will also be evaluated. Punctuality in administrative duties and positive feedback from the parent-teacher community are essential for career progression within the school.
