The reality of this role
Teaching Chemistry at Srv Matriculation School means handling classes from Classes 11 and 12 every day. You will prepare lesson plans that fit the Tamilnadu State Board syllabus and explain difficult concepts like chemical bonding and thermodynamics in a way students can follow. What you will actually do
Prepare and deliver daily Chemistry lessons for Classes 11 and 12 aligned with the Tamilnadu State Board curriculum.
Conduct demonstrations and experiments to make abstract topics like electrochemistry and organic reactions easier to understand.
Set question papers, evaluate answer sheets, and give feedback to students within the school’s assessment cycle.
Organize and supervise Chemistry practical exams for Class 12 students at Srv Matriculation School.
Maintain lab equipment and ensure chemicals are stored safely and in compliance with school policy.
Attend staff meetings and contribute to departmental planning for Chemistry teaching.
Communicate student progress to parents during PTMs and through progress reports.
Participate in school events like science exhibitions and inter-house competitions whenever scheduled.
Who can do this job
Postgraduate degree in Chemistry from a recognized university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with Chemistry as a main subject.
Minimum two years of Chemistry teaching experience in a school environment.
CTET or TET qualification is a plus but not mandatory.
