Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Non-Teaching (NTT) English Teacher to join our inclusive school community. As an NTT English Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality English language instruction to students of diverse backgrounds and learning needs.
Teaching Methodology:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
- Utilize a range of teaching methods, including technology-enhanced instruction, to promote student engagement and understanding.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in teaching and learning, and adapt your approach to meet the evolving needs of students.
Student Profile (Diverse learner needs):
- Our students come from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and linguistic abilities.
- Students may have different learning needs, including but not limited to: English language learners, students with special educational needs, and students with diverse abilities.
- You will work closely with colleagues and school support staff to ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed.
Performance Expectations (Inclusive practices):
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to participate and engage in learning.
- Use inclusive language and imagery in your teaching materials and practices.
- Be aware of and respect students' diverse backgrounds, cultures, and identities.
Classroom Environment:
- Establish a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and understanding among students, colleagues, and school staff.
- Display teaching materials and resources that reflect the diversity of the student body.
- Be mindful of the physical classroom environment and adapt it to meet the needs of all students.
Your Responsibilities (Diversity and inclusion competencies):
- Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate diverse texts, images, and resources that reflect the experiences and backgrounds of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement inclusive school policies and practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in inclusive teaching practices.
Key Requirements:
- A graduate degree in a relevant field
- 1 year of experience in teaching or education-related roles
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents
- Strong organizational and time management skills
