About This Role
This is a senior History department role at Ravindra Bharathi School, Mehdipatnam for a Post Graduate Teacher with a minimum of two years of classroom experience. The position carries additional responsibility for guiding the History curriculum across grades 11 and 12 and mentoring junior staff. What You Will Do
Plan and deliver the CBSE History syllabus for classes 11 and 12, ensuring alignment with board expectations and the latest NCERT guidelines.
Create differentiated lesson plans, question banks, and project-based assignments tailored to senior secondary learners.
Analyze past board papers to identify high-yield topics and incorporate them into weekly teaching plans.
Conduct weekly departmental meetings to review student progress, share best practices, and align assessments.
Mentor two to three junior History teachers, including classroom observations, feedback sessions, and resource sharing.
Design and implement formative assessments aligned with CBSE standards to monitor conceptual understanding.
Organize inter-house quizzes, essay competitions, and heritage walks that connect classroom learning to local history around Asifnagar.
Prepare students for competitive exams and Olympiads through focused weekend sessions.
Coordinate with the school librarian to curate and update the History reference section.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in History from a recognized Indian university with minimum 55% marks.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with History as a teaching subject.
Minimum two years of full-time teaching experience in History at the senior secondary level.
Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certificate preferred.
Prior experience in curriculum development, textbook analysis, or board paper setting will be an advantage.
