About This Role
We are looking for a skilled and passionate PRT Music Teacher to join our music faculty at Akshara International School. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching music to students from grades 1 to 10, developing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach music classes to students from grades 1 to 10
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop whole-school music programs
- Conduct music activities and performances for students and parents
- Maintain a well-organized and student-centered classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues to keep them informed about student progress
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to school events
- Stay updated with the latest developments in music education and incorporate relevant concepts into the curriculum
Who Can Apply
Applicants for this role should have a strong background in music education, preferably with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree. A TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in teaching music to students in a school setting. They should be passionate about music, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
