About the School

Primary Duties (Detailed with legal language)
1. Instructional Responsibilities
a. Prepare and deliver daily lesson plans for Social Science (History, Geography, Political Science and Economics) for Classes VI to X in strict conformity with the State Board syllabus and the National Curriculum Framework.
b. Ensure 100% coverage of the prescribed curriculum within the academic calendar while maintaining a balanced pace to accommodate remedial and enrichment needs.
c. Design and implement pedagogical strategies that foster critical thinking, historical inquiry, geographical analysis, and civic awareness among students.
d. Integrate experiential learning through field trips, debates, model-making, data interpretation, and project-based assignments as per board guidelines.
e. Develop and maintain a resource repository comprising charts, timelines, maps, primary documents, and digital content in compliance with copyright laws.
f. Conduct formative and summative assessments as mandated by the State Examination Board, including periodic tests, half-yearly and annual examinations.
g. Maintain accurate records of attendance, marks, and anecdotal observations in both physical and digital formats, ensuring confidentiality and data privacy under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
2. Classroom Management and Student Welfare
a. Establish and enforce a code of conduct that promotes respect, inclusivity, and non-discrimination in accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
b. Implement positive behaviour support plans for students with learning difficulties and ensure Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) are prepared and reviewed quarterly.
c. Maintain a safe, hygienic, and child-friendly classroom environment in compliance with the National Building Code and State Fire Safety Regulations.
d. Report any signs of distress, bullying, or child abuse immediately to the School Child Protection Committee as per Section 19 of the POCSO Act, 2012.
3. Administrative and Institutional Compliance
a. Attend all staff meetings, subject teacher meetings, and parent-teacher conferences as scheduled.
b. Prepare and submit monthly teaching plans, assessment reports, and attendance registers to the Academic Coordinator within the stipulated deadlines.
c. Participate in school-wide examinations, examinations, and evaluation processes including paper setting, moderation, and tabulation.
d. Ensure compliance with all statutory returns under the Right to Education Act, including Section 21 (School Management Committee), Section 29 (Curriculum), and Section 30 (Evaluation).
e. Maintain inventory of teaching aids and laboratory equipment and report discrepancies to the Head of Department within 48 hours.
4. Professional Ethics and Conduct
a. Uphold the highest standards of professional integrity and confidentiality in all academic and administrative matters.
b. Refrain from any form of corporal punishment, emotional abuse, or discrimination as prohibited under the RTE Act, 2009 and the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015.
c. Display punctuality, appropriate attire, and decorum in accordance with the school’s Code of Conduct for Teaching Staff.
d. Refrain from accepting private tuition or external assignments that may conflict with the school’s interests or the provisions of the RTE Act.
Role Summary
Minimum Requirements
1. Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or History from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks.
2. Teaching Experience: Minimum 1 year of full-time teaching experience in a recognised school at the secondary level.
3. Age Limit: Between 21 and 40 years as on 01 April 2025.
4. Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Hindi; proficiency in the local language is desirable.
5. Compliance: Must possess a valid Aadhaar card, PAN card, and a clean police verification certificate.
6. Health: Must be medically fit and able to perform classroom duties, including standing for extended periods and lifting teaching aids up to 5 kg.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
1. Master’s degree in Social Science or Education.
2. Two or more years of teaching experience in Social Science at the secondary level.
3. Successful completion of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) or State TET.
4. Certification in inclusive education or special needs education.
5. Familiarity with digital teaching platforms (Google Classroom, Moodle, or equivalent) and CBSE/State Board examination processes.
Performance Expectations (Evaluation Criteria)
1. Academic Performance (40%)
a. Average student attainment in Social Science in internal and board examinations compared to school and state averages.
b. Completion rate of syllabus and alignment with prescribed learning outcomes.
c. Accuracy and timeliness of assessment data submission.
2. Pedagogical Effectiveness (30%)
a. Use of diverse teaching methods and student engagement levels.
b. Integration of ICT and experiential learning in lessons.
c. Differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
3. Classroom Management (15%)
a. Student behaviour and discipline records.

4. Professional Conduct (10%)

Annual evaluation shall be conducted by the Academic Coordinator using a 360-degree feedback mechanism, including student feedback, peer review, and self-assessment. Unsatisfactory performance shall be addressed through a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) in accordance with the school’s HR policy.
Salary and Compensation (Breakdown)
1. Basic Salary: Rs 22,000 per month
2. House Rent Allowance (HRA): Rs 6,600 per month (30% of basic, subject to actual rent receipts up to Rs 8,000)
3. Transport Allowance: Rs 1,000 per month (for teachers residing beyond 5 km
