Psychological Counsellor Job in Hyderabad, Telangana | School Vacancy
Role Summary
The Psychological Counsellor will support student well-being at Ravindra Bharathi School, Mehdipatnam by delivering evidence-based interventions and maintaining a safe, confidential environment. This role works closely with school leadership, parents, and external specialists to build a positive psychological climate across classes from nursery to grade twelve.
Day-to-Day Duties
Conduct initial intake sessions to assess students’ emotional and behavioural needs.
Design and implement short-term counselling plans aligned with CBSE and NEP guidelines.
Organise monthly group sessions on stress management, study skills, and adolescent concerns.
Maintain confidential case files and prepare quarterly progress reports for the principal.
Collaborate with class teachers to identify at-risk learners and suggest classroom strategies.
Coordinate with external psychologists for complex cases requiring specialised support.
Attend weekly meetings with the school counsellor supervisor to review caseload and interventions.
Liaise with parents through structured feedback sessions to reinforce home-school partnership.
Required Qualifications
Must Have
Post-graduate degree in Psychology or Counselling Psychology from a recognised Indian university
Minimum two years of full-time experience in school or clinical counselling settings
Strong knowledge of child and adolescent developmental milestones
Good to Have
RCI registration or certification in guidance and counselling
Experience with CBSE-affiliated schools in Hyderabad
Familiarity with NEP 2020 mental health components
