Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – History

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Teach History to students in Grades 11 and 12 using a variety of pedagogical approaches that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with the curriculum while integrating inclusive teaching strategies, such as differentiated instruction, collaborative learning, and formative assessment.
Create a classroom environment that promotes respect, empathy, and intercultural understanding, reflecting diverse perspectives in historical narratives.
Use technology and innovative resources to enhance learning and accessibility for students with varied needs, including those with learning differences or physical disabilities.
Assess and evaluate student progress through continuous feedback, portfolios, and summative assessments, ensuring fair and equitable opportunities for all.
Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects that connect History with other subjects, fostering a holistic understanding of societal development.
Participate in professional development programs focused on inclusive education, cultural competency, and modern teaching methodologies.
Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral observations in compliance with school policies.
Engage with parents and guardians through regular communication, parent-teacher meetings, and workshops to promote a shared understanding of inclusive education.
