As a PRT Social Science Teacher, your core responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging social science lessons aligned with the curriculum and educational standards
Creating and updating lesson plans, worksheets, and assessment tools
Monitoring and evaluating student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations
Providing constructive feedback to students and parents to support academic growth
Participating in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and staff development programs
Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral observations
Collaborating with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives
Upholding the school’s values of integrity, respect, and excellence in all interactions
KPIs and Outcomes
To ensure excellence in teaching and student outcomes, the PRT Social Science Teacher will be evaluated on the following key performance indicators:
Student performance: Achieving a minimum of 85% average scores in social science subjects across all classes taught
Student engagement: Ensuring high participation rates in classroom activities and extracurricular social science programs
Parent satisfaction: Receiving positive feedback from at least 90% of parents in annual surveys
Professional growth: Completing at least two professional development courses or workshops annually
Curriculum delivery: Completing 100% of the syllabus with sufficient time for revision and practice
Classroom management: Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment with minimal behavioral issues
Innovation in teaching: Implementing at least one new teaching strategy or resource per term to enhance learning
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, History, Geography, Political Science, or a related field
Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in social science for middle or high school students
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools
