About This Role
Ravindra Bharti School is building a dedicated Dance department in Samshabad and invites a senior PRT Dance Teacher to lead curriculum design, student performances, and junior faculty development. Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute the Dance curriculum for Classes I to VIII, aligning each lesson with age-appropriate skill progression and cultural themes relevant to Telangana.
Prepare students for inter-school competitions, annual day performances, and CBSE expression series with focused rehearsal schedules and technique refinement.
Mentor two to three junior Dance teachers, conducting weekly planning sessions and classroom observations to maintain teaching quality.
Design thematic assemblies and festivals that showcase student talent in Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and folk styles from Andhra-Telangana.
Collaborate with music, art, and physical education departments to integrate Dance with school-wide cultural initiatives.
Submit quarterly progress reports on student skill acquisition and suggest resource requirements for costumes, instruments, and props.
Organize workshops with local artistes from Hyderabad’s cultural hubs to enrich classroom learning.
Contribute to school newsletters and parent meetings by sharing student achievements and upcoming performance schedules.
Support board exam logistics by guiding senior students in expressive arts portfolios where applicable.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate in Dance from a recognized university with a minimum of five years of teaching experience in Indian dance forms.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) from an NCTE-approved institution.
Preference for candidates holding Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certification.
Familiarity with CBSE Art Education guidelines and Ranga Reddy’s local cultural context is an advantage.
Candidates with NET or SET in Fine Arts or Performing Arts will receive priority consideration.
