Role Summary
The PRT Dance Teacher will design and deliver engaging dance sessions for young learners from classes 1 to 5. What You Will Do
Plan weekly dance lessons aligned with the school’s creative arts curriculum and local cultural themes.
Use simple, repetitive steps and visual aids to teach basic dance forms like Bharatanatyam, folk, and free movement.
Break down complex movements into smaller steps and demonstrate each part clearly.
Encourage students through positive reinforcement and peer learning to build confidence.
Support students with learning difficulties by pairing them with peer buddies during practice.
Organize small in-class performances every two months to showcase progress and boost morale.
Maintain a safe and inclusive environment by checking the dance floor for hazards before each session.
Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s participation and improvements.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) from a recognized institution.
Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching dance to children in the age group 6–11 years.
Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in inclusive classrooms or community settings.
