Job Description
PRT Art And Craft Teacher Job in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh | School Recruitment
The Seth M.R Jaipuria School community in Lucknow thrives on creativity and hands-on learning, where art isn’t just a subject but a way of thinking. Teachers here don’t just instruct—they inspire curiosity, celebrate student uniqueness, and weave art into everyday school life. The school culture blends tradition with innovation, making it a nurturing space for young minds to explore colors, textures, and ideas freely.
What it's like to work here
At Seth M.R Jaipuria School, collaboration comes naturally. You’ll work closely with primary teachers, senior art coordinators, and the school leadership to integrate craft across subjects. Professional development is encouraged through workshops and peer learning sessions held right in the campus. The school believes in recognizing effort, so your creative contributions will always be valued and showcased.
Your role in the community
As the PRT Art And Craft Teacher, you’ll design age-appropriate art lessons that build fine motor skills and aesthetic awareness. You’ll organize monthly art exhibitions where students proudly display their work to parents and peers. You’ll integrate seasonal themes—like Diwali lanterns or Holi colors—into your curriculum to connect art with local culture. You’ll maintain the art room as a safe, inspiring space with well-organized supplies and display areas. You’ll document student progress through portfolios and creative journals, sharing insights with parents during open house events. You’ll collaborate with the music and dance teachers to create inter-disciplinary projects that enrich the school calendar. You’ll support school events like art fairs and inter-house competitions with creative ideas and team coordination. You’ll serve as a mentor, guiding students who show exceptional talent or need encouragement in self-expression.
Who fits in here
You are a graduate with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed and have at least 2 years of experience teaching art in primary classes. While TET or CTET is preferred, a passion for nurturing young artists matters more. You understand child psychology, can manage a lively classroom, and enjoy working in a team. Your patience and ability to simplify complex techniques will help every child feel capable and proud of their creations.
What you get
You will receive a monthly salary between Rs.20,000 and Rs.35,000 based on experience and qualifications. The school provides health coverage, subsidized meals during school hours, and access to professional development funds. You’ll also enjoy the satisfaction of seeing your students grow into confident, creative individuals.
How to become part of the team
Share your resume and a short note on your teaching philosophy, especially how you engage young learners in art. Include samples of student work or lesson plans if available. Email your application to the HR department at Seth M.R Jaipuria School.
