* Foster a love for reading and writing among students
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cohesive teaching and learning strategies
Core Responsibilities
* Teach English language and literature to students from grades 1 to 8
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
* Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
* Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and progress
* Participate in staff meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives
* Maintain a well-organized and conducive classroom environment
* Stay updated with curriculum developments and best practices in English language teaching
* Support colleagues in planning and executing school events and activities
* Contribute to the school's vision and mission by promoting a culture of excellence and innovation
What You Bring to the Table
* A Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
* B.Ed/D.El.Ed degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching English
* Proficiency in teaching English language and literature to students of varying abilities
* Familiarity with the English curriculum and assessment frameworks
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
