Spring Field School in Haridwar seeks a dedicated NTT Environmental Studies (Evs) Teacher to inspire students with hands-on learning about nature and sustainability. This role focuses on engaging young minds through practical experiments, field trips, and eco-friendly projects. Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct interactive Evs lessons, ensuring concepts like biodiversity, pollution, and conservation are engaging for students.
Prepare and conduct field activities, such as tree planting, waste segregation demonstrations, or nature walks, to reinforce classroom learning.
Maintain a classroom environment that encourages curiosity about environmental issues through visual aids, posters, and student-led discussions.
Assist in organizing weekly outdoor sessions, including visits to local parks, riversides, or farms, to connect students with real-world ecological challenges.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop lesson plans that integrate Evs with other subjects, fostering interdisciplinary learning on sustainability themes.
Collaborate with other teachers to design cross-curricular projects, such as school gardens, recycling drives, or climate action campaigns.
Participate in school events like Earth Day celebrations, science fairs, or environmental awareness campaigns to promote awareness.
Keep parents informed about Evs progress through updates, parent-teacher meetings, or digital communication on sustainable practices.
Periodic Responsibilities
Coordinate with the school’s eco-club to plan annual events like clean-up drives, documentary screenings, or guest lectures by environmental experts.
Review and update teaching materials, including textbooks, lab kits, and digital resources, to stay current with scientific advancements.
Attend professional development workshops on environmental education, if available, to enhance teaching methods and curriculum relevance.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Biology, or a related field.
Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification to ensure effective classroom teaching.
Two years of teaching experience, preferably in schools focusing on environmental awareness or science subjects.
Prefer candidates with TET/CTET certification, though not mandatory for this role.
Strong communication skills to explain complex environmental concepts in simple terms for students.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs.12,000 to Rs.22,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
