About Rising Sun Institute | Karimganj

When I first walked along the Kaliganj‑Choukirmukh Road in Bagbari village, I saw a piece of land that could become a place where families from Sribhumi and the surrounding parts of Karimganj could send their children with confidence. In 2008, together with a handful of volunteers from the ROSE NGO, I turned that vision into Rising Sun Institute. From the very beginning the aim was simple: provide a steady, reliable education for boys and girls from nursery through class twelve, and give them the tools they need to compete on the state and national stage.

Our school is anchored in the belief that learning should be both disciplined and flexible. We follow the curriculum prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education while also aligning our teaching methods with the goals of NEP‑2020. That means the textbooks are supplemented by project work, critical‑thinking exercises and regular exposure to digital resources. In the higher secondary section we focus on the Arts and Commerce streams, but we do not stop there. Every senior student has access to integrated coaching for the competitive exams that matter most in Assam—NEET for medicine and JEE for engineering—so that a single school day can prepare them for both board results and future entrance tests.

The campus itself reflects our commitment to a modern learning environment. Each classroom is equipped with a smart board, the school network offers high‑speed Wi‑Fi, and a dedicated computer lab lets students explore beyond the textbook. These facilities are not just for show; they have helped us maintain a pass rate that consistently exceeds ninety‑five percent in the state board examinations, and several of our pupils have gone on to secure top ranks in the district. The success we see in exam halls is matched by the confidence students display when they present a debate, manage a school‑run shop, or lead a community service project.

Rising Sun Institute is for the families that want a stable, forward‑thinking education without having to travel far from home. It is for children who dream of becoming teachers
