PGT Botany Teacher Position at Rising Sun Institute, Karimganj
The Rising Sun Institute in Karimganj is seeking a dedicated PGT Botany Teacher to join its faculty. This role involves teaching advanced botany courses to high school students while ensuring alignment with the latest syllabi and curriculum standards.
Teaching Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging lectures on botany, covering topics like plant taxonomy, physiology, genetics, and ecology. Maintain a strong focus on practical demonstrations, field studies, and laboratory work to enhance student understanding. Prepare and update lesson plans that reflect modern educational trends and assessment methodologies.
Subject Expertise and Curriculum Support
Develop and review study materials, including textbooks, worksheets, and project guidelines, to support both theory and hands-on learning. Ensure that course content meets the requirements of the Assam Board of Secondary Education and other relevant educational frameworks. Collaborate with the department to refine the botany curriculum, incorporating recent research and technological advancements.
Student Engagement and Development
Actively participate in extracurricular activities such as science fairs, botanical explorations, and environmental awareness programs. Foster a supportive learning environment where students can ask questions, engage in discussions, and apply botanical concepts to real-world scenarios. Provide guidance on research projects and encourage critical thinking in students.
Administrative and Coordination Tasks
Assist in organizing field trips, workshops, and guest lectures related to botany to enrich the learning experience. Work with the principal and department heads to address any curriculum-related queries or challenges. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessment results as required.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Botany with at least four years of teaching experience at the secondary level. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, a strong command of the English language and familiarity with digital teaching tools is highly valued. The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month, along with other benefits as per institutional norms. The role is based in Karimganj, Assam.
