Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging PRT dance lessons to students across multiple grades, ensuring alignment with the school curriculum and learning objectives.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate traditional and contemporary dance styles, adapting techniques to suit varying skill levels.
- Conduct regular practice sessions, focusing on posture, rhythm, expression, and coordination, while maintaining a safe and encouraging environment.
- Evaluate student performance through observations, assessments, and performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and individualized improvement plans.
- Organize and lead school dance recitals, competitions, and cultural events, coordinating choreography, music selection, and stage management.
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate dance into interdisciplinary projects, enhancing overall student learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, lesson logs, and progress reports in accordance with school policies.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and community outreach programs to stay updated on dance education trends.
- Ensure all dance equipment and costumes are stored, maintained, and used responsibly, reporting any issues to the administration.
- Mentor junior staff and student dance groups, fostering a supportive learning community and encouraging artistic growth.
