About This Role
Suraj School - Gurugram is looking for a skilled Dance Teacher to lead its cultural activities and performances. The role involves designing dance programs, coordinating rehearsals, and managing stage events. The Dance Teacher will play a key part in promoting creativity and discipline among students through structured dance training.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and conduct daily dance sessions for students of different age groups.
Organize and lead rehearsals for school performances, festivals, and competitions.
Collaborate with the cultural committee to schedule events and allocate resources.
Maintain discipline during dance sessions and ensure student safety in practice areas.
Document student progress and provide feedback to parents during PTMs.
Coordinate with the sports and arts department for combined cultural activities.
Prepare students for inter-school dance competitions and showcase events.
Manage the dance studio equipment and ensure cleanliness and maintenance.
Eligibility Criteria
Must Have
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university
Minimum 3 years of experience in dance training or choreography
Strong knowledge of Indian classical, folk, or contemporary dance forms
Good communication skills in Hindi and English
Good to Have
Diploma or certification in dance education from a reputed institution
Prior experience in school or institutional dance programs
Familiarity with event coordination and student performance management
Preferred Skills
Leadership to guide students and junior staff in dance activities
Management skills to plan schedules and coordinate resources
Strong communication to interact with students, parents, and management
Ability to motivate students and maintain high energy during sessions
What You Get
Rs.20,000 - Rs.40,000 per month
