Shiva Shiksha Sadan is inviting qualified professionals for the position of Psychological Counsellor. This is a full-time role based in Sonipat, Haryana. The selected candidate will support students through assessment, guidance, and intervention services.
What You Will Do
1. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions for students facing academic, emotional, or social challenges.
2. Maintain confidential records of student interactions and progress for internal review.
3. Collaborate with teachers and parents to identify behavioural or learning concerns in students.
4. Organise workshops on stress management, study skills, and mental health awareness for students and staff.
5. Provide crisis intervention and referrals to external specialists when required.
6. Assist in designing and implementing school-wide programmes to promote positive mental health.
7. Report key observations to the school leadership for informed decision-making.
8. Ensure compliance with child protection policies and ethical counselling practices.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a postgraduate degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Applied Psychology from a recognised Indian university. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in school or educational counselling is required. Proficiency in Hindi and English is essential. Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting are necessary.
