About This Role
As a seasoned Table Tennis Coach, you will be given the leadership opportunity to shape the table tennis program at Dav Multipurpose Public School in Sonipat, Haryana. Reporting to the Sports Director, you will be responsible for the overall development and management of the school's table tennis team. This is a full-time, non-teaching administrative role that requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in coaching and team management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruit, train, and develop players to compete in inter-school and inter-state tournaments.
2. Plan and implement training sessions, tournaments, and competitions for the table tennis team.
3. Maintain accurate records of team performances, player progress, and tournament results.
4. Collaborate with teachers and staff to promote table tennis as a school sport.
5. Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency response plans for table tennis players and staff.
6. Manage the table tennis equipment, facilities, and budget.
7. Establish and maintain relationships with other schools, organizations, and clubs for table tennis development.
8. Participate in staff meetings and contribute to school-wide sports initiatives.
Required Qualifications
A graduate degree with a strong background in sports management, coaching, or a related field is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in coaching and team management, preferably in a school setting, is necessary for this role. Certification in coaching, first aid, or sports management is an added advantage.
