Job Description
PRT (Pupil Teacher) Position for Environmental Studies (EVS) at The Indian School, New Delhi
The Indian School seeks a dedicated PRT for Environmental Studies to inspire young minds with hands-on learning in EVS across its campuses in New Delhi. This role focuses on engaging students through interactive lessons, practical experiments, and real-world connections to environmental science.
You will design engaging EVS lessons that align with curriculum standards while fostering curiosity about sustainability, ecology, and conservation. Classroom instruction will include field trips, project-based activities, and collaborative group work to make learning experiential.
Daily responsibilities include lesson planning, student assessment, and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment. You will also assist in organizing school-wide environmental awareness campaigns, such as tree-planting drives or waste management initiatives.
Qualifications:
A graduate degree with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
Experience:
At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in EVS or environmental science at the primary level.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of Rs.17,000 to Rs.30,000 per month based on qualifications and experience. The role is based in New Delhi.
