About The Indian School

Welcome to The Indian School, a senior‑secondary co‑educational institution that has been part of the South Delhi community since 1996. We sit on a compact yet lively campus of about 2.4 acres on Josip Broz Tito Marg, just a stone’s throw from the Moolchand Flyover, and the address – 110049 – is familiar to many families in the neighbourhood. Our affiliation with the Central Board of Secondary Education is recorded under number 2730326 and school code 25246, and we are proud to be operating under the guidance of Principal Ms Tania Joshi, whose 35 years of teaching and 18 years of administration give the school a steady hand.

Our student body numbers just over two thousand, ranging from nursery children to class‑twelve scholars, and the mix of cultures and aspirations makes the classrooms vibrant. With a student‑to‑faculty ratio close to twenty to one, teachers can really get to know the learners they are guiding. The academic rhythm follows the NCERT/CBSE framework, but we complement it with smartboards, well‑equipped science labs, a modern computer and robotics unit, and dedicated spaces for arts and music. We also run an inclusive education program for special‑needs students and have adopted rainwater harvesting as part of our campus responsibility.

If you join us, you’ll find a place where professional growth is encouraged and daily teaching feels meaningful. The leadership values collaboration, and the relatively small faculty team of sixty‑two means your ideas are heard and your contributions make a visible impact. You’ll have access to contemporary teaching tools, support for experimenting with new pedagogical approaches, and a community that respects both academic rigor and the personal development of each teacher. We think you’ll enjoy the energy of a school that balances tradition with innovation, all set against the lively backdrop of South Delhi.
