Job Summary
Podar International School invites applications for a full‑time PGT Gujarati Teacher in Ahmedabad. The role involves delivering engaging Gujarati lessons to classes 9 and 10, preparing students for board examinations, and collaborating with fellow faculty to enrich the curriculum. The successful candidate will bring at least 3 years of teaching experience and a postgraduate degree in Gujarati or related field.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement lesson plans that align with the state syllabus and promote critical thinking in Gujarati.
- Assess student performance through tests, projects, and oral examinations, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate attendance and progress records, and communicate with parents during parent‑teacher meetings when necessary.
- Participate in departmental meetings to share best practices and support peer teachers in enhancing Gujarati instruction.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as literary clubs and debate teams that strengthen language skills.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Gujarati, Hindi, or a related discipline.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed required; TET/CTET preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
- Strong command of Gujarati literature, grammar, and modern usage.
- Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
Salary
Rs.38,000 – Rs.55,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
