Role Summary
Dev Rishi Sr Sec School Sonepat is expanding its cultural leadership team with a Music Teacher who will shape the school’s musical vision and manage its performing arts programs. This role focuses on leading music ensembles, coordinating school events, and maintaining the cultural calendar. The position carries significant responsibility for student engagement and community outreach through music.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate weekly music rehearsals for the school choir and instrumental groups to prepare for inter-school competitions and annual functions.
Oversee the procurement and maintenance of musical instruments and sound equipment, ensuring availability for all practice sessions.
Plan and execute the annual cultural festival of Dev Rishi Sr Sec School Sonepat, including stage management and technical coordination.
Collaborate with the discipline and sports departments to integrate music performances during school assemblies and sports day events.
Manage a team of student leaders who assist in event planning, rehearsal scheduling, and audience coordination.
Prepare detailed budgets for cultural programs and submit quarterly reports to the school administration.
Liaise with external musicians and visiting artists for workshops and guest performances at the school.
Document all music-related activities, maintain records of student participation, and submit monthly progress reports to the principal.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience in music event coordination or cultural administration.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory; TET or CTET will be preferred during selection.
Prior experience in a school setting, handling music events and managing teams, will be given priority.
Strong organizational skills and familiarity with Hindi and English are essential for smooth communication.
