Role Summary
Gd Goenka International School invites qualified professionals for the position of Psychological Counsellor. Day-to-Day Duties
1. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions for students to address emotional and behavioural concerns.
2. Develop and implement intervention plans in coordination with school administrators and class coordinators.
3. Organize workshops on stress management, peer relationships, and mental health awareness for students and parents.
4. Maintain confidential records of student interactions and progress for school records.
5. Collaborate with external psychologists or psychiatrists when specialized intervention is required.
6. Provide guidance to teachers on handling classroom situations involving students’ emotional challenges.
7. Assist the school leadership in designing policies related to student mental health and well-being.
8. Conduct periodic assessments to identify students who may need additional support.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Clinical Psychology is mandatory. A background in school counselling or child psychology is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data management is required for record-keeping and reporting.
Preferred Skills
Experience in conducting psychological assessments for children and adolescents is highly valued. Strong communication skills to interact with students, parents, and staff are essential. Familiarity with CBT techniques and crisis intervention strategies will be an added advantage.
