Birla Open Minds International School Garhwa invites applications for a PRT Dance Teacher position to join the vibrant dance program in Nagaruntari. This role focuses on nurturing students’ creativity and cultural expression through structured dance classes, aligning with the school’s emphasis on holistic learning. The PRT Dance Teacher will play a key part in shaping young minds by teaching traditional and contemporary dance forms, ensuring engagement and confidence-building in students.
The PRT Dance Teacher will design and deliver engaging dance lessons across various age groups, incorporating age-appropriate techniques and choreography. Daily class preparation involves lesson planning, adapting materials to student abilities, and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment. Collaboration with the dance coordinator will ensure seamless integration of dance into school events, performances, and extracurricular activities. The teacher must also monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain discipline while fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with a passion for dance pedagogy. A degree in dance, physical education, or a related field is preferred, though not mandatory. Two years of teaching experience, preferably in dance or physical education, will be advantageous. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be considered favorably. A strong foundation in dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Kathak, or contemporary styles is beneficial, along with experience in teaching diverse student groups.
