About This Role
The PRT Music Teacher Vacancy in Giridih is for a full-time Primary teacher responsible for conducting music classes from Classes 1 to 5. You will introduce students to classical, folk, and contemporary forms while building their foundational skills in singing, rhythm, and instrument basics. The role also involves organizing school events and supporting co-curricular music programs.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan structured weekly lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and local cultural themes.
Teach vocal and instrumental music using age-appropriate techniques and resources.
Prepare students for school choir, band, and annual day performances.
Assess student progress through practical demonstrations and short recitals.
Collaborate with other PRT teachers to integrate music into classroom activities.
Maintain discipline and enthusiasm in the music room and during performances.
Coordinate with external trainers for workshops on instruments like tabla or harmonium.
Document student participation and progress for parent-teacher meetings.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in Music or equivalent from a recognized university.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed with specialization in music preferred.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
Familiarity with Indian classical, folk, or Western music forms is beneficial.
Ability to play at least one instrument and conduct group singing sessions.
