The Psychological Counsellor position at Mdav School is a leadership role that shapes the mental health and well-being framework for students across Jamatra. Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute Psychological Counsellor programs aligned with school goals and local needs in Jamatra. Coordinate with Mdav School management to integrate mental health initiatives into the broader school calendar. Organize workshops for parents and staff on adolescent psychology and early warning signs of distress. Lead crisis intervention protocols during emergencies or sudden behavioral changes among students.
Train and supervise junior counselors and interns in ethical practices and school-specific protocols. Represent the school at district-level meetings on child welfare and mental health awareness. Ensure compliance with national guidelines while adapting services to rural and semi-urban contexts in Jharkhand.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Child Development from a recognized Indian university. Minimum two years of experience in school counseling or a related mental health role in educational settings.
Prior work in Jharkhand or similar socio-economic environments is preferred. Familiarity with local languages such as Hindi and regional dialects will enhance community engagement and trust.
