Job Description
This role is for a dedicated teacher to deliver Environmental Studies (EVS) in Oxford Public School, Chainpur, Palamu. The position focuses on classroom instruction, curriculum planning, and student engagement in EVS, which covers ecological concepts, sustainability, and practical environmental awareness. The teacher will work in a Tier 4 location, contributing to the school’s educational program in a structured, full-time capacity.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting engaging and age-appropriate EVS lessons aligned with the school curriculum, ensuring students grasp fundamental ecological principles.
- Designing and implementing hands-on activities, projects, and field studies to reinforce classroom learning, such as waste management initiatives, tree-planting drives, or community cleanliness campaigns.
- Assessing student understanding through quizzes, assignments, and practical evaluations, while providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Collaborating with other teachers to integrate EVS concepts into interdisciplinary lessons, ensuring a holistic approach to environmental education.
- Maintaining accurate records of student performance and participating in school-wide assessments as required.
- Preparing lesson plans, resources, and teaching materials to support EVS instruction, including visual aids, experiments, and digital tools where applicable.
The ideal candidate will hold a graduate degree in any discipline and possess at least two years of teaching experience. While formal qualifications in EVS are not mandatory, a strong background in science, social studies, or environmental education is advantageous. Practical teaching skills, creativity in lesson delivery, and a genuine passion for environmental awareness are essential.
