Job Description
National Public School Omr invites a dedicated PGT Botany Teacher to join its esteemed faculty in Bengaluru Urban. This role involves guiding high school students through advanced botany concepts, fostering scientific curiosity and practical understanding. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in plant biology, ecology, and hands-on laboratory work to enrich the curriculum.
Daily responsibilities include preparing and delivering engaging lectures on topics like plant taxonomy, genetics, and environmental botany. Conducting interactive sessions to reinforce learning through experiments and field studies is also a key part of the day. Ensuring students grasp complex theories while maintaining a supportive learning environment is essential.
Regular responsibilities across the academic cycle involve designing and updating botany lesson plans aligned with Karnataka’s curriculum. Collaborating with science department heads to integrate interdisciplinary projects, such as eco-club activities or sustainability initiatives, is part of the ongoing role. Reviewing student lab reports and providing constructive feedback helps in assessing their understanding and progress.
Periodic responsibilities include organizing field trips to botanical gardens or research centers in Bengaluru to bring real-world relevance to classroom learning. Participating in departmental meetings to discuss teaching strategies and curriculum improvements is also necessary. Ensuring compliance with school policies on safety protocols in laboratories is crucial for periodic checks.
The successful candidate should hold a postgraduate degree in Botany or a related field with at least two years of teaching experience. A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is mandatory. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this position.
This PGT Botany Teacher position offers a competitive salary of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month, along with a conducive work environment at National Public School Omr.
