The PGT Physical Education Teacher will design and implement structured PE programs, including team sports, individual athletics, and health-related activities. Daily lesson planning will integrate physical fitness, sportsmanship, and discipline, ensuring engagement for students across grades. Collaboration with the school’s sports committee will help organize inter-house competitions, outdoor events, and wellness initiatives. Monitoring student progress in physical abilities and sports participation will be a key responsibility, with feedback provided to both students and parents. The teacher will also maintain equipment inventory, ensure safety protocols are followed during activities, and train new staff members in PE methodologies. Teaching assistance for students with physical limitations or special needs will be part of the role if required.
To qualify, candidates must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with at least three years of teaching experience in Physical Education. A strong background in sports science, coaching, or related fields will be an asset. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be considered favorably. Experience in curriculum development for PE or involvement in school sports programs is highly valued.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 60,000 per month, along with a location in the vibrant city of Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab.
