Candidates will be expected to integrate modern training techniques and local sports traditions into the curriculum.
Responsibilities
1. Design and implement age‑appropriate physical education lessons for grades 6 to 12.
2. Organise intra‑school sports competitions, promoting fair play and school spirit.
3. Maintain detailed records of student participation, performance, and progress.
4. Collaborate with teachers of other subjects to incorporate physical activity into classroom learning.
5. Provide guidance on nutrition, injury prevention, and overall student wellness.
6. Supervise and mentor junior staff or volunteers in sports coaching roles.
7. Participate in school health and safety committees, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
8. Represent the school at district and state level physical education events and meetings.
Qualification and Experience
Candidates must hold a post‑graduate degree and a B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification; TET/CTET is preferred but not mandatory. A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a school setting is required. Demonstrated ability to manage diverse student groups and to use contemporary training equipment will be considered an advantage.
Salary and Location
The position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs.40,000 to Rs.70,000 and is located in Firozpur, Punjab.
