Collaborate with other teachers to integrate dance into interdisciplinary projects, making learning holistic for students. Your leadership will define how dance is taught and experienced at Dips School.
Core responsibilities include teaching dance classes to students of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced. Develop and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans incorporating cultural dance forms and global styles. Organize extracurricular dance events, including school performances and competitions, to showcase student talent. Maintain a safe and inclusive environment where students feel empowered to explore their artistic potential. Assess student progress through practical evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Partner with parents to communicate progress and encourage participation in dance activities. Stay updated on new dance pedagogy and teaching methods to refine your approach. Ensure all dance equipment and resources are well-maintained and accessible. Represent Dips School at local arts festivals and community engagement events.
Candidates should possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree, with at least two years of experience in dance teaching. A graduate background in dance or related arts is preferred. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, prior experience in Punjab schools is highly valued. A strong passion for dance and a commitment to nurturing young talent are essential.
