Daily responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Botany lessons that align with the school syllabus.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, lab reports, and class participation.
- Maintain laboratory safety and manage plant specimens and related equipment.
- Provide timely feedback to students and coordinate with co‑teachers for interdisciplinary projects.
Regular responsibilities across the academic cycle
- Design and conduct practical sessions and field trips to local botanical sites.
- Prepare and update teaching materials, including digital resources and visual aids.
- Mentor junior teachers and assist in the integration of modern teaching technologies.
- Participate in curriculum development meetings to ensure alignment with state educational standards.
Periodic responsibilities
- Organize and oversee science fairs and inter‑school competitions featuring Botany projects.
- Review and update laboratory protocols annually to meet safety regulations.
- Contribute to the annual school publication with articles on recent botanical research and local flora.
Qualification and experience
Post‑graduate degree in Botany or related field.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed required; TET/CTET preferred.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
Strong knowledge of contemporary Botany topics and laboratory techniques.
Salary and location
Competitive salary ranging from Rs.38,000 to Rs.60,000 per month.
