Maintain updated teaching materials, lab equipment, and digital resources to support effective instruction. Act as a subject mentor, guiding junior teachers and ensuring consistency in geography education across the school.
Requirements
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in Geography or a related field. Four years of relevant teaching experience at the high school level is mandatory. Strong subject knowledge in geography, including advanced topics like geopolitics, climate science, and natural resources, is essential. Demonstrate experience in designing interactive and experiential learning approaches for diverse student groups.
Excellent communication skills, both in English and Tamil, are required to interact with students, parents, and colleagues effectively. Familiarity with educational technology and digital tools for geography education is a plus. A clean criminal background check is mandatory for employment.
Compensation
The selected candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary of Rs.40,000 to Rs.50,000, along with other benefits as per school policy. The role offers a supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth and collaboration within the institution.
