About St Johns Public School | Chennai

Welcome to St John’s Public School, a place where the buzz of learning can be heard against the backdrop of the brick‑faced buildings and the familiar chime of our clock tower in Jalladianpet, right in the heart of Sholinganallur. Our campus stretches across a modern, open layout that gives both students and staff room to breathe, experiment and grow. From the littlest kindergartners to the seniors preparing for board exams, we have a community of about a thousand children, each bringing their own stories, curiosities and energy to the classrooms. Because we are affiliated with the CBSE, the curriculum is rigorous yet flexible, allowing teachers to blend core subjects with the kind of project‑based work that sparks real understanding.

What you’ll find here is a balance that feels intentional rather than forced. Academics are taken seriously, but we also believe that a student’s confidence blooms when they can step onto the stage for a cultural fest, lead a team in a sports meet, or take charge of a club that aligns with a personal passion. Our annual intra‑city and inter‑school festivals have become a highlight for many families, and they give teachers a chance to mentor beyond the textbook, to see students apply what they’ve learned in creative, often surprising ways. The staffroom is a place where ideas are exchanged over tea, where a senior teacher might share a lesson plan and a newer colleague can suggest a fresh tech tool, all under the guidance of a management team that encourages professional development and respects individual teaching styles.

If you’re looking for a school where you can practice your craft without being boxed in, where your voice matters in shaping both curriculum and the broader school culture, St John’s offers that space. The trust that runs the school invests in resources, from well‑maintained labs to updated digital classrooms, and it supports teachers in pursuing workshops and courses that keep them current. Most of all, the community here values the relationships you build—students who remember the teacher who listened, colleagues who celebrate each other’s successes, and parents who appreciate genuine effort. Joining us means becoming part of a vibrant, forward‑thinking environment where you can see the impact of your work every day, both in exam results and in the confidence of a child who finally solved a problem on
