St Johns Public School | Chennai is looking for an experienced educational leader to take charge as Principal at its Sholinganallur campus in Chennai, Tamilnadu. The role is full‑time and reports directly to the Managing Committee, overseeing all aspects of school administration, academic standards and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and day‑to‑day management of the school, ensuring compliance with state education regulations and internal policies. Lead curriculum implementation, assessment processes and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment. Supervise and evaluate support staff, coordinate with senior faculty, and foster effective communication with parents and the local community. Manage budgeting, resource allocation and infrastructure maintenance to support the school’s objectives. Represent the school at external meetings, audits and educational forums.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Minimum of four years of senior administrative experience in a recognized school setting, preferably as Vice‑Principal or Head of Operations. Post‑graduate qualification in Education Management, Administration or a related field is mandatory; B.Ed/D.El.Ed is desirable but not compulsory for this leadership role. While TET/CTET certification is not required, a thorough understanding of the Tamilnadu education system and its regulatory framework is essential. Proven ability to lead teams, handle stakeholder relations and drive academic excellence is expected.
Salary and Benefits
The position offers a monthly remuneration of Rs.90,000 – Rs.150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include housing allowance, medical coverage and professional development support.
