Evs (NTT) Vacancy in Agastheeswaram, Kanniyakumari, Tamilnadu
ROJAVANAM INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL tamil nadu
Job Description
What It Is Like Here
Rojavanam International School Tamil Nadu sits on the calm eastern edge of Agastheeswaram, where the Western Ghats still whisper through the classroom windows. Teachers here move between lesson plans and local plant walks without leaving campus, blending textbook science with the red-soil farms and coconut groves just beyond the gate. The team is small enough that every Evs class ends up with a shared photo on the staff WhatsApp—children, teacher, and a basket of jackfruit seeds collected for tomorrow’s germination experiment.
Job Overview
The school is filling an NTT Evs Teacher Vacancy in Kanniyakumari to anchor its foundational science programme for nursery and lower kindergarten children. You will plan weekly Evs activities that link weather patterns in Kanyakumari to the coconut palms swaying outside the classroom. Experience with three- to six-year-olds and a graduate degree are essential; formal TET/CTET is not required.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and conduct Evs sessions that use local flora, seasonal winds, and temple-tank field trips to teach basic ecology.
Prepare low-cost teaching aids—seed mosaics, wind vanes from coconut fronds, water-cycle models using aluminium trays.
Document each child’s curiosity in a simple folder so parents see progress during term-end sharing.
Organise Friday “Garden Gurus” where tiny hands sow, water, and observe growth over four weeks.
Collaborate with the art teacher to turn Evs observations into wall murals that stay up for the whole academic year.
Conduct monthly parent-child Evs walks along the nearby irrigation canal to spot dragonflies and water birds.
Keep the classroom Evs corner stocked with magnifying glasses, soil samples in small bottles, and picture cards of local crops.
Attend fortnightly staff huddles in the open-air pavilion to align themes with the school’s nature calendar.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline with minimum 3 years’ experience teaching three- to six-year-olds.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognised institution; TET/CTET not mandatory.
Familiarity with Montessori or Reggio-inspired hands-on learning is welcome.
Local language (Tamil or Malayalam) fluency is an advantage for parent interactions.
Perks and Pay
Rs.18,000 – Rs.25,000 per month on a full-time basis.
Work-from-campus with flexible planning hours—afternoons free for your own child’s school pickup.
School bus pass for Agastheeswaram–Nagercoil route; subsidised canteen meals at cost price.
Annual supply of coconut saplings for your home garden as part of the “Green Staff” initiative.
