Stone Ridge International School in Rudarpur, Udhamsingh Nagar, is seeking a dedicated PRT Evs Teacher to inspire young minds with hands-on environmental education. This role focuses on nurturing students’ awareness of sustainability, nature conservation, and eco-friendly practices through engaging classroom activities and field-based learning. The position aligns with Stone Ridge International School’s commitment to holistic development, emphasizing practical, experiential learning in Environmental Studies.
The PRT Evs Teacher will report to the school’s curriculum team, collaborating closely with subject coordinators to design age-appropriate lesson plans. The role involves teaching Environmental Studies across grades, ensuring alignment with national curricula while integrating local Uttarakhandan perspectives—such as Himalayan ecology and community-based conservation efforts.
Core Duties
Teaching Environmental Studies to students, covering topics like biodiversity, climate change, waste management, and renewable energy sources. Developing and delivering interactive lessons, field trips, and outdoor learning activities to enhance understanding through real-world examples.
Creating and maintaining educational resources, including worksheets, experiments, and project-based assignments that encourage critical thinking and hands-on participation. Collaborating with science and social science teachers to integrate environmental themes into interdisciplinary lessons.
Assisting in organizing school events like Earth Day celebrations, tree-planting drives, and eco-audits, ensuring participation from students and faculty alike. Monitoring student progress in environmental awareness and providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
Qualification and Experience
A graduate degree with a minimum of two years of teaching experience in Environmental Studies or a related field is essential. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory for this PRT position. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role.
Stone Ridge International School offers a competitive salary of Rs.15,000 to Rs.25,000 per month, along with additional benefits tailored to support a balanced work-life experience in Rudarpur, Udhamsingh Nagar. The role is full-time and based at the school’s campus.
