The Hillside International School in Belagavi seeks an experienced TGT Physical Education Teacher to lead dynamic sports and fitness programs for students. Role Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging physical education lessons that cater to diverse student abilities, ensuring inclusivity and skill development. Organize school sports events, tournaments, and inter-house competitions to foster camaraderie and sportsmanship. Monitor student progress in physical fitness, track performance metrics, and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate physical activities into the academic curriculum where applicable. Maintain well-equipped sports facilities and ensure safety standards are met during all activities. Develop and update the school’s PE syllabus to reflect modern teaching methods and national standards. Mentor students in individual sports like athletics, swimming, and team games to build confidence and discipline. Work closely with parents to communicate student achievements and areas for growth in physical fitness. Participate in school events, such as sports days and extracurricular programs, to promote a vibrant and active school environment.
Eligibility
Hold a postgraduate degree in Physical Education or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Four years of relevant teaching experience in Physical Education at the secondary level is mandatory. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly beneficial for career progression. A strong understanding of sports science, injury prevention, and child development is essential. Knowledge of Karnataka’s school curriculum for Physical Education will be an asset.
